Life, encounters and my experience have pushed Antonin…
and I to create The Grape Odyssey !

I started my Wine and Hospitality school in 2010.
It was during my internship at Hélène Darroze ( 2 Michelin star, Relais & Châteaux) that I fell in love with the world of wine and the excellence and the rigor that a gastronomic restaurant imposes.

It was the beginning of an incredible journey starting in Paris, then London, Hong Kong and now on, in Oslo.

My passion for wine, my thirst of knowledge and my quest for excellence led me to work alongside renowned establishments ( The Square in London 2 Michelin or Restaurant Kontrast in Oslo 1 Michelin), famous chefs ( Gordon Ramsay at The Savoy Hotel or Julien Roucheteau, MOF, at La Table du Lancaster 2 Michelin star) and great sommelier ( Arnaud Bardary, Master Sommelier at The Court of Master Sommelier at Blacksheep Restaurants)

It’s by evolving in this Michelin star environment that I have the chance to taste rare wines, to create and work with extensive wine list where small producers from regions or lessers-known wine countries could coexist with legendary wines, to master the subtle arts of food and wine pairing.

I understand too the importance of the sommelier role for the guest experience and its added value for an establishment.

I also noticed that wine-loving customers choose by themselves wines that mainly came from the same regions and the same estates and producers.

I have seen too often custumers uncomfortable being given a wine list with a look that tells you :  » Don’t let me down please » or choosing the wine pairing by fear of making the wrong choice of wine for their dinner.

Following long discussions between colleagues, friends and Antonin, I understood that wine had an overly elitist image.
It is from this observation that The Grape Odyssey was born : make wine knowledge and tasting a skill that everyone can acquire.

Through our various tailored masterclass and our hospitality wine consulting we want to help you to get a better understanding about wine.
We want to pass on you all our expertise, knowledge, experience and passion for the wine world in a casual way.

The more understanding you will have, the more amazed you will be front of the magic that can be felt behind a glass of wine.
